LATEX

Natural latex is the juice of the tropical rubber tree ‘Hevea Brasiliensis’ that is cultivated in plantations around the world. Latex is a white milky fluid, a stable dispersion of rubber (organic polymer) particles in water. Products that contain at least 85% natural latex (or over) are qualified as a natural product.

The Latexco manufacturing process was initially inspired by the Dunlop process, but over 60 years, Latexco has improved it to such an extent that today it is better known as the Latexco manufacturing process. This procedure uses the conventional steam heating and drying method to manufacture the latex components.

Latexco has been rewarded with the Oekotex 100 Quality Certificate without harmful substances. Laboratory tests have shown that the components of their products do not contain harmful substances that endanger human health or are a threat to the environment. Tests carried out in collaboration with the TFI (Deutsches Teppich Forschungsinstitut) in Aachen (Germany) show that Latexco products comply with the Eurollatex ECO-Standard. This standard defines the maximum acceptable limits for toxic substances or substances considered harmful to health.
